We are getting a good chunk of change back too. I really and truly hope that Rusty will let me use some of that money on a puppy. It will cost close to $1000, because our apartment complex requires a $500 deposit. Plus adoption fees, a crate, a doggie gate for longer days, food, food and water bowls, leashes, collar, vet fees exc. I understand it is a really HUGE financial commitment. I just truly do not feel complete with out a little fuzzy something to follow me around the house.
I would love to get a long haired dachshund. I don't know if that will be possible. But I would really like one... or a spaniel. We'll see what is available when the time comes. I am going to try to adopt from a pound/shelter. Breeders are too expensive for what we are ready to afford.
