Before I start with today let me share two pictures that made my day better from Tuesday I think.....

Yep, Tuesday. I had to take Jasper to the vet & petsmart. I now really love having an extra excuse to go to "the" Mt Pleasant. It means I get McAlisters and Cupcake. I got the white chocolate raspberry cupcake and it was by far my favorite cupcake so far! I loooved it!

The second picture was of the classical music pandora station for my puppy. I hate leaving him home alone. It was suggested that I leave classical music for him when I leave. I don't think it helps him, but it helps me drown out his cries when I am locking the door.

Wednesday was an especially traumatic day for my little pup. I couldn't find anyone to let him out while I worked a 7hr shift so he was alone all day. He got himself stuck behind our dryer and messed up our dryer vent. We rearranged the laundry room a bit so it won't happen again. I also found someone who lives in my apartment complex to help me out and walk him on my long work days.

Anyways. Today was a wonderful day. I had a full day off and got to spend it with some wonderful ladies.

First Morgan, Kristen, Nicole, and I went to Mt. Pleasant for a trip to Cupcake. it was super fun. I tried Death By Chocolate. I couldn't finish it, it was so rich! I should have gotten a picture, but I was way too distracted by food.

(I just found this picture on their website. My cupcake looked better than this one actually!)

When we got back to the Goose. We dropped Kristen off and then I tagged along with Morgan and Nicole to "Spouse INDOC" It was actually a crappy day to go since a few of the speakers dropped out at the last minute. But we had fun. I took a few random pictures...

Going on base. Really nothing special now that I have a military ID, but since it was the start of our "adventure" I felt I needed to document.

One of our "guides" I think this was when he was telling me one of our speakers was MIA.

Nicole, Morgan, and Sarah. :-) Wonderful navy wives! I was going to get a picture of the 4 of us, but totally forgot. According to Sarah, my outfit wasn't up to par anyways. It was my day off so I was wearing my comfy "white girl" nike shorts. Mmm... comfy clothes <3

They gave us so much info!

This was the tricare lady... she is so cool she wears her shades on the inside. It cracked me up!

I am glad I was able to go, I did learn a lot. It did make me thankful I am taking a semester off of school though! I forgot how much it sucks just sitting and listening to someone talk lol.

After Spouse INDOC we went to SUBWAY! I was so excited about food. You have no idea. Unfortunately the staff was hecka rude and the dude only gave me like 8 olives for my whole footlong. Booo...

It was still a fantastic day off. :-)

Today my friend Morgan and I began our "seasonal" employment at edible arrangements. We were supposed to work from 7am- dinner time. I am not sure what time dinner time is... but I can't imagine that it is at 10:30am.... clearly that is when we were supposed to eat dinner today though. They sent some people home at 9am. Morgan and I fought to stay. Okay fought isn't the right word. We begged though! It came down to a draw from a hat... We got to stay and get our extra $12 lol.

Sadly... 10:30am was the final cut off time and there was seriously NOTHING else to do.

Sooo.... Morgan and I decided to go drown our sorrows in The Mt. Pleasant. It was a success.

We went to Cupcake and got freakin uh-mazing cupcakes! :-)
Mine <3

Morgan's <3

And what would a trip to The Mt. Pleasant be without HARRIS TEETER! The most amazing grocery store that Jessica and I found one day. Incase you missed that exciting day here is a recap...

We also got cupcakes.

Then discovered the Harris Teeter magical land of beer.

Aaaaand this... yum?

Yeah, that was a glorious day.

Now back to this trip. I was pretty excited to come back. There were many amazing samples and random pictures. :-)

Woohoo. Harris Teeter makes carts in my size!

These cupcakes looked amazing... maybe we found a NEW cupcake spot...

LOOK! It's Morgan!! These pictures were inspired by this video...

After our magical Harris Teeter adventure we decided to explore our own area... so we ventured past the gate down Red Bank. That was exciting, because we saw wildlife! Other than that... not so much...

When we got home my gated community was open... wtf. That is never open. #SecurityFail.

During this time my home was also invaded by a mexican painter. He fixed our ceiling though so it's cool.

It was a fantastic day with a fantastic person. Hopefully tomorrow it will involve more fruit. :-/

UGH! It is only 4:00!!! Ugh. I guess I will study my flashcards for my real job.

PS Did you know Morgan and I got married one day apart? :-) Pretty cool huh?
Well, my day didn't turn out anything like I expected. It was pretty great though! I went to a navy wife's PartyLite party. It was pretty fun. Product parties are always so awkward to me, but this was my favorite that I have been to so far. The hostess also has her own cupcake/bakery business in her home. She made us cupcakes, which were awesome. Very pretty too, I took pictures. :-)

We were supposed to go out to lunch afterwards for her birthday to Olive Garden. Buuut, by the end of the PartyLite party she had changed her mind. That sucked.

Luckily Morgan was there to save my afternoon! We had a fantastic lunch at Smokey Bones and then she went with me to the animal shelter to look at dogs! :-) That was so much fun!

I knew that any dog I fell in love with there would be gone by the time Rusty and I could get one. Even if we wanted to risk going a few weeks before paying the pet deposit, I wouldn't want to get a dog and then work 12hrs every day for 6 days in a row, leaving Rusty to take care of him/her. So it was a completely harmless visit. I did find one that I LOVED. Her name was "Gigi" which really doesn't matter since they are all just given a random name.
Don't worry... I took pictures...

I promise I wasn't torturing her lol

I love those ears!

She would just curl up in my lap.

Were you worried? :-)
She was a total sweetheart. Adopting a dog from a shelter is way more expensive than I thought! I may look in to breeders. That is what my mom and I always did for our dogs back home. I just expected it to be a lot cheaper to go to a shelter.
I really want a puppy, preferably under 6mo old. (Gigi would have been an exception) After talking to the worker at the shelter, small breed puppies and small dogs in general go to homes really quickly. That eases guilt about going to a breeder. If I wanted a big/medium dog I would, without a doubt go to a shelter. They are cheaper there and THOSE are the kinds of dogs that sometimes just don't find a home. ;-(

I also went to another shelter, but they wouldn't let me take pictures. I wasn't crazy about the facility, staff, or selection anyways. I'll keep an eye on their website just in case, but I don't think I will make another trip.

Overall a pretty great day. Now to study some Gloria Jean's drink recipes.
