Day 12 - A picture of something you love

Initially my first response to this is my husband Rusty and my dog Jasper. I feel like I keep using them to fill these categories and my blog in general. Time to look a little harder....

I love serving others. In high school I did this as a server and as a Christian doing missions work. At VSU I did this by being an RA and serving my residents. Now I am doing this as a Barista serving coffee to our guests. While some serving is "more important" than others, my life is much more satisfying when I have a serving aspect.

I love making others smile. I am not the funniest person around, but I'd like to think I have some good moments. This also goes along with making people happy by serving. I like to be the person who goes above and beyond to make someone smile. I love being there for people in their best and worst days.

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh

:-) All for different reasons... Be prepared. I can't choose just one. And I have no desire to. :-)

I am only loading pictures from the past year and a half.

That is all I am going to post for this one. :-) Yall may not find it funny if you don't know any of the people. But I love it!

In case you aren't from the Charleston area or if you missed the memo... today was freakin GORGEOUS!! Such amazing weather. :-) When I got off work I really wanted to go take Jasper to the dog park. I got home and the hubby was sleeping on the couch. It took awhile for him to get moving. But then we got in the car to go get Jasper to socialize! It is sooo important to me that we get Jasper to be a good sociable dog. Ugh I don't want to have "that dog".
Since Jasper is a fur ball he likes to be on the floor in the car. This way he can get some direct AC action, but still be with "the pack." Look how happy he is on the floor.

Unfortunately, the park apparently CLOSES at 5pm... wtf is up with that?? I don't know if that was just the park we went to or if it is a Charleston thing. Back in Snellville the parks don't "close". ALSO! It is like $1 to get in to the park. What is up with that? AGAIN is that just a Charleston thing?

Rusty knew how disappointed I was so he tried to fix things by taking me to a huge field on base. We had a great time. Although, it of course didn't do anything for socializing Jasper with other dogs, it was a really fun time for the three of us.

Here are some pictures of Rusty and I:

Then I wanted to get some pictures of Jasper. Unfortunately he moves a lot so pretty much everything came out blury. I was using my phone for the pictures, so my expectations weren't super high lol.

Rusty running with Jasper.

My hubby holding Jasper so I could get a pic LOL Poor baby.

Once again my hubby saved the day and we had a great time. I love him for not giving up and giving me a great afternoon. :-)

I posted earlier that the hubby was going to let me get a puppy for vday. I have been visiting multiple animal shelters, checking craigslist, petfinder, and other sites for a few weeks now looking for the right puppy. A navy wife posted on the group that she works at a kennel. I asked her if she had any breeders come in that she knew of. She didn't, but she did know that the brother of her pomeranian puppy was still available.

This is her baby. Super cute!!

Well... I called the breeder and planned a trip an hour and a half away to the boonies. I even got tow of my good friends Morgan and Katherine to join me. It was a really fun trip!

It was in the middle of NOWHERE!

The breeder had horses and this creature who seemed really interested in us.

I was just goofing around.

Smallest mailbox numbers ever. We had a hard time finding the place.

Here is her trailer. Ummm... yeah.

We stayed for about an hour and I fell in love with the puppy. :-)

Well worth the trip! I came home and got the okay from Rusty to get him the next day. Sooo... Wednesday morning I woke up SUPER early to get everything for the puppy.
Apparently there are seagulls at 6am in the Walmart parking lot.

I was there too. Yuck. I really HATE walmart. But you can't be too picky at 6am.

I spent so much time here. I didn't even get half of the stuff on my list!

Since Walmart did not meet all of my doggie needs, I later had to make a trip to petsmart. That one went a lot better. I was going to photo document the whole journey, but I was running short on time after Walmart disappointed me.

I picked him up at a random exit off 26... which I missed the first time... oops.

He is so good in the car!

So far he has been SUCH an awesome little doggie. Potty trained. Well, he had one accident tonight, but I think that was just because the hubby didn't take him out enough while I was at work. But just once in three days is good enough for me! He is super sweet.

Last night I learned he is better with humans than other dogs. I went over to Jessica's house and we tried to get our dogs to play together, Mine wasn't so good at it.... Bailey (her dog) was soooo good though. Even when my dog was being a little brat and snapped at him.

Awful picture, but the other one I took was worse.

It was hard to pick a name for him. I had several ones that almost made the final cut: Samuel Adams, Klondike, Lance, Nevil, Kodiak, Fritz.... the list goes on... but I ended up with Jasper and I love it!

It has been really expensive. Today we got a fairly large vet bill. Totally worth every penny. My life just feels complete now that I have a dog. :-) Things are going great!
