So, just a few weeks ago I posted a blog about how I got some AWESOME deals on restaurant.com using ebates.com. I got over $200 in restaurant gift cards for less than $20. If you missed that blog feel free to check it out here.

I decided since I was going to be trying so many new places I would share what I thought about them on my blog by doing little reviews. Please note I am NOT a food critic. Just doing this out of my own entertainment. :-)

My second restaurant review is for Cajun Kountry Kitchen Cafe. :-)

My husband looooves Cajun food. I am confident he could eat it for every meal, every day. At one point when we started dating he would make jambalaya multiple times every week. Some of you may recall my Valentines gift to my husband was actually making him jambalaya.

When I was looking for restaurants to try on restaurant.com I couldn't pass up going to get my husband's favorite food. I am so glad they were on restaurant.com or else we might have never found this AWESOME local business.

When we went in were immediately greeted by the friendly staff (there were only two of them :-) ). We got to pick our table and since we were trying to spend $35 we actually ordered drinks. (We are typically just water with lemon people). I am so glad we did. Rusty ordered lemonade and I got sweet tea, both were awesome! I usually don't comment on drinks, but man these were good. :-)

We asked what the staff recommended for an appetizer and got the bbq shrimp based on their recommendation. It was awesome! Such a great choice. Next time I think we will try one of their gator apps or their sweet potato fries... that is if we can resist not getting that awesome shrimp again!

While waiting for our main course I took some pictures of the place. I loved the unique atmosphere. This is also when I decided I HAD to let more people know about this place!!

Rusty and I did our usual thing and ordered the dinner sampler for two so we could try everything. Oh man we were not disapointed by ANYTHING they brought us! My favorite was the jambalaya and Rusty DEVOURED those crawfish.

Throughout our meal both our server and the chef came and checked up on us, providing us with EXCELLENT personable service. I haven't experienced service this great in a long time. If you love cajun food, this is a MUST try restaurant. Heck, even if you don't love cajun food, it is probably because you have never experienced anything this good!

We will be back soon! Plus we got one of their dining cards which allows us to get our 7th meal there free. With my husband's love for cajun, it won't take us long!

I wish I had posted this closer to when we went (three weeks ago), but our first restaurant.com gift card that we used was at Fonduely Yours. I have grown up in Atlanta where the ultimate date night was to Dante's or to The Melting Pot. My husband was new to fondue. We both loved the atmosphere and had an awesome time with great food.

My husband and I have a tendency to just get the "dinner for two" where ever we go. Neither of us are super picky eaters and typically what one of us doesn't like, the other loves. It works really well and usually we can save a few dollars here and there.

The meal starts off with their cheese appetizer. This was when they were warming the oil before adding the cheese.

We loved the cheese. Now we were waiting for our server to bring our main dish. :-)

When the main dish came in we devoured it. It was all so good! Their spicy batter tasted so good on EVERYTHING!

We also got the white chocolate fondue for dessert, but I was afraid it would all be eaten by my husband if I stopped to take a picture. It was so good.

The atmosphere of the whole restaurant was fairly casual. I did not feel out of place wearing jeans, but I also wouldn't have felt out of place if I had worn a skirt or a dress.

My only complaint was our server. He really could have taken more time to explain things to us. My husband even clearly stated that he had never had fondue before. A little more explanation would have been helpful. I was really thankful that the table next to us had a different server and she did a MUCH better job explaining everything even though her table seemed to be regulars.

Crab Holocaust 2011

Today I had one of my all time favorite meals. All you can eat snow crab. :-) This meal has a special place in my heart (and stomach) from the good memories back in Valdosta with Jamesha and company. (It changed each time, but Jamesha was always down for the crab. Today I got to eat all I could of crab and shrimp at Hyman's downtown. Hilarious name I know, but it really is a great seafood restaurant. One of my all time favorites.

I am on their email list and earlier this month they gave me a coupon for all you can eat shrimp AND snow crab legs for $20. Also includes coleslaw, hushpuppies, friend green tomatoes, and a side item. Pretty awesome deal for the price!

Well, the month is almost over and so this was our last chance! I am so glad Rusty took me! When you do this alone you just look fat lol.

I LOVE going downtown. I hope that I don't regret not going enough once we leave Charleston. It is a beautiful place.

Ah, and here are some of my favorite pictures to take... pictures of my food. I am so food motivated lol.

Coleslaw. It was some of the best I have ever had. This was after I started digging in.

Hushpuppies... for free! :-)

All you can eat crab and shrimp. I would have just been happy only getting the crab all you can eat. The cajun shrimp was super good though.

Finishing up the meal. This was three extra plates of crab later... I can tear up some crab. I only ate a few shrimp. Like I previously stated, I would have just been happy with all you can eat crab!

That gave us tons of stickers. Apparently if they see you wearing them you may get a gift card. We didn't wear them though. We weren't going to be in the area much longer.

I was soooo stuffed after that meal. It was almost painful to walk back to the car. The hubby decided he wanted to go to the Apple store when we were done though. After he gave me that much pleasure in the form of food I couldn't say no!

He really wants to get an iMac soon(ish) like in the next year. I'm not crazy about the idea, but whatever.  I made a video in the apple store, yall can check it out here.

Now I am relaxed on the sofa with my man and my pup watching the Oscars. This was an awesome Sunday. :-)

Before I start with today let me share two pictures that made my day better from Tuesday I think.....

Yep, Tuesday. I had to take Jasper to the vet & petsmart. I now really love having an extra excuse to go to "the" Mt Pleasant. It means I get McAlisters and Cupcake. I got the white chocolate raspberry cupcake and it was by far my favorite cupcake so far! I loooved it!

The second picture was of the classical music pandora station for my puppy. I hate leaving him home alone. It was suggested that I leave classical music for him when I leave. I don't think it helps him, but it helps me drown out his cries when I am locking the door.

Wednesday was an especially traumatic day for my little pup. I couldn't find anyone to let him out while I worked a 7hr shift so he was alone all day. He got himself stuck behind our dryer and messed up our dryer vent. We rearranged the laundry room a bit so it won't happen again. I also found someone who lives in my apartment complex to help me out and walk him on my long work days.

Anyways. Today was a wonderful day. I had a full day off and got to spend it with some wonderful ladies.

First Morgan, Kristen, Nicole, and I went to Mt. Pleasant for a trip to Cupcake. it was super fun. I tried Death By Chocolate. I couldn't finish it, it was so rich! I should have gotten a picture, but I was way too distracted by food.

(I just found this picture on their website. My cupcake looked better than this one actually!)

When we got back to the Goose. We dropped Kristen off and then I tagged along with Morgan and Nicole to "Spouse INDOC" It was actually a crappy day to go since a few of the speakers dropped out at the last minute. But we had fun. I took a few random pictures...

Going on base. Really nothing special now that I have a military ID, but since it was the start of our "adventure" I felt I needed to document.

One of our "guides" I think this was when he was telling me one of our speakers was MIA.

Nicole, Morgan, and Sarah. :-) Wonderful navy wives! I was going to get a picture of the 4 of us, but totally forgot. According to Sarah, my outfit wasn't up to par anyways. It was my day off so I was wearing my comfy "white girl" nike shorts. Mmm... comfy clothes <3

They gave us so much info!

This was the tricare lady... she is so cool she wears her shades on the inside. It cracked me up!

I am glad I was able to go, I did learn a lot. It did make me thankful I am taking a semester off of school though! I forgot how much it sucks just sitting and listening to someone talk lol.

After Spouse INDOC we went to SUBWAY! I was so excited about food. You have no idea. Unfortunately the staff was hecka rude and the dude only gave me like 8 olives for my whole footlong. Booo...

It was still a fantastic day off. :-)

I had an amazing Valentines day all around this year! I was actually WITH Rusty, unlike last year. He was in boot camp. That really sucked. Rusty really did everything he could to make it a great VDay. Of course my favorite moments involved food. We went to this awesome little italian place in Mt. Pleasant. I loved it.

It is so cute! I would totally post the name, it's not like I am trying to keep it a secret. However I am not sure how to pronounce it and I can't even google to find it since idk what it sounds like. Sorry readers... if there are any still out there!

I haven't gotten a pay check so my VDay gift to Rusty was making him one of his favorite meals (Jambalaya) and one of his favorite desserts, chocolate chip muffins.

That is the muffins before they were cooked. Cute little hearts and xoxo. The light chips are peanut butter chips. de-lish.

Now for the ULTIMATE part of my VDay gift... Rusty gave the okay for me to get a puppy!!! More will be posted later! :-)
