I posted earlier that the hubby was going to let me get a puppy for vday. I have been visiting multiple animal shelters, checking craigslist, petfinder, and other sites for a few weeks now looking for the right puppy. A navy wife posted on the group that she works at a kennel. I asked her if she had any breeders come in that she knew of. She didn't, but she did know that the brother of her pomeranian puppy was still available.

This is her baby. Super cute!!

Well... I called the breeder and planned a trip an hour and a half away to the boonies. I even got tow of my good friends Morgan and Katherine to join me. It was a really fun trip!

It was in the middle of NOWHERE!

The breeder had horses and this creature who seemed really interested in us.

I was just goofing around.

Smallest mailbox numbers ever. We had a hard time finding the place.

Here is her trailer. Ummm... yeah.

We stayed for about an hour and I fell in love with the puppy. :-)

Well worth the trip! I came home and got the okay from Rusty to get him the next day. Sooo... Wednesday morning I woke up SUPER early to get everything for the puppy.
Apparently there are seagulls at 6am in the Walmart parking lot.

I was there too. Yuck. I really HATE walmart. But you can't be too picky at 6am.

I spent so much time here. I didn't even get half of the stuff on my list!

Since Walmart did not meet all of my doggie needs, I later had to make a trip to petsmart. That one went a lot better. I was going to photo document the whole journey, but I was running short on time after Walmart disappointed me.

I picked him up at a random exit off 26... which I missed the first time... oops.

He is so good in the car!

So far he has been SUCH an awesome little doggie. Potty trained. Well, he had one accident tonight, but I think that was just because the hubby didn't take him out enough while I was at work. But just once in three days is good enough for me! He is super sweet.

Last night I learned he is better with humans than other dogs. I went over to Jessica's house and we tried to get our dogs to play together, Mine wasn't so good at it.... Bailey (her dog) was soooo good though. Even when my dog was being a little brat and snapped at him.

Awful picture, but the other one I took was worse.

It was hard to pick a name for him. I had several ones that almost made the final cut: Samuel Adams, Klondike, Lance, Nevil, Kodiak, Fritz.... the list goes on... but I ended up with Jasper and I love it!

It has been really expensive. Today we got a fairly large vet bill. Totally worth every penny. My life just feels complete now that I have a dog. :-) Things are going great!

I had an amazing Valentines day all around this year! I was actually WITH Rusty, unlike last year. He was in boot camp. That really sucked. Rusty really did everything he could to make it a great VDay. Of course my favorite moments involved food. We went to this awesome little italian place in Mt. Pleasant. I loved it.

It is so cute! I would totally post the name, it's not like I am trying to keep it a secret. However I am not sure how to pronounce it and I can't even google to find it since idk what it sounds like. Sorry readers... if there are any still out there!

I haven't gotten a pay check so my VDay gift to Rusty was making him one of his favorite meals (Jambalaya) and one of his favorite desserts, chocolate chip muffins.

That is the muffins before they were cooked. Cute little hearts and xoxo. The light chips are peanut butter chips. de-lish.

Now for the ULTIMATE part of my VDay gift... Rusty gave the okay for me to get a puppy!!! More will be posted later! :-)

For those who don't know... I got a six day job at Edible Arrangements. It was to help out with their VDay load. It was supposed to be 6 days from 7am until "dinner time". Some days "dinner time" was 10:30am and others it was 7:30pm. Those 10:30days it seemed hardly worth our drive. In the end it was totally worth it though. We met some.... unique people. Most of them. Morgan and I gave them nicknames.
"Dog"- She was supposedly a dog groomer for the past 16 years... I think I am going to have to call bullshit on that. She didn't know anything.
"The Old Lady"- She wasn't there long. She got sick.
"The Photographer"- She was also full of shit.
"Yankee"- Ugh... the name says it.
"The Tall Dude"- Super tall... kinda kept to himself. He was always tired, because he was a bartender.
Kathy- She was really cool. She didn't get a nickname, because we liked her.

Plus side, all of the people that ACTUALLY worked there were really cool! :-)

It wasn't what I expected, but I really liked it. I got to know Morgan better and made some extra cash.

This was the general set up of the back. Pretty small.

Pineapple hearts. Super hard to get on those little sticks.

Lots of hearts!

Kale. Eff that ish. Morgan and I HATED that station.

Every morning Morgan and I went to Dunkin Doughnuts. I totally felt like I was cheating on my coffee job at Gloria Jeans, but in my defense they are not open at 6:30am.

I "skewered" THOUSANDS of strawberries. Dryed them too.

Here are the "pros" making some of the arrangements. Pretty cool job!

Pineapple Daisy! I loved these things! So cute!!

Another note... at this job we listened to the same radio station. This particular radio station played Lady Gaga's new song every hour... on the hour... freakin clockwork. I am officially sick of that song. Ugh.

Yes. This is me sitting on the floor. I need a nap. Kthanksbye.

I took this first picture last week (or was it earlier this week?) when I was going in to my new job. Same day I was having too much fun with the pineapple. :-) This roadblock in my life for some reason made me smile.

Today it got better. They made it in to a bow. Awwwz.

Yeah, no one should care about this. I really don't myself. I just felt like posting it.

Have a good weekend friends. :-)
Waking up at 5am then having a full day really sucks. So when a friend invites me out for dinner it is a difficult decision. Do I say yes and drag my ass off the couch or do I muster up energy to be social and skip cooking dinner? I realized this may be my last social event for the next week and a half so I joined my friends Katy and Courtney.

We went to Queen Anne's Revenge. Fantastic restaurant. I got one of the best meals I have had in awhile and enjoyed some awesome company. Oh and the server dropped butter on my lap... lame.

Here is the sign outside. I love this place, not only because it has my name in it.

Here is what I ran in to when I tried to take that picture.

Today was a very big day for my apartment. I entertained guests TWICE! First was earlier with Morgan. This time it was Katy and Courtney. We played Mario Party and I won for the first time since we got the game lol. It was a pretty intense game. I only won by 5 coins lol.

I always play as Peach. She makes me smile. I like to have Boo as one of the computers, he also makes me smile.

Tonight I am thankful that I chose socialization.
:-)
Today my friend Morgan and I began our "seasonal" employment at edible arrangements. We were supposed to work from 7am- dinner time. I am not sure what time dinner time is... but I can't imagine that it is at 10:30am.... clearly that is when we were supposed to eat dinner today though. They sent some people home at 9am. Morgan and I fought to stay. Okay fought isn't the right word. We begged though! It came down to a draw from a hat... We got to stay and get our extra $12 lol.

Sadly... 10:30am was the final cut off time and there was seriously NOTHING else to do.

Sooo.... Morgan and I decided to go drown our sorrows in The Mt. Pleasant. It was a success.

We went to Cupcake and got freakin uh-mazing cupcakes! :-)
Mine <3

Morgan's <3

And what would a trip to The Mt. Pleasant be without HARRIS TEETER! The most amazing grocery store that Jessica and I found one day. Incase you missed that exciting day here is a recap...

We also got cupcakes.

Then discovered the Harris Teeter magical land of beer.

Aaaaand this... yum?

Yeah, that was a glorious day.

Now back to this trip. I was pretty excited to come back. There were many amazing samples and random pictures. :-)

Woohoo. Harris Teeter makes carts in my size!

These cupcakes looked amazing... maybe we found a NEW cupcake spot...

LOOK! It's Morgan!! These pictures were inspired by this video...

After our magical Harris Teeter adventure we decided to explore our own area... so we ventured past the gate down Red Bank. That was exciting, because we saw wildlife! Other than that... not so much...

When we got home my gated community was open... wtf. That is never open. #SecurityFail.

During this time my home was also invaded by a mexican painter. He fixed our ceiling though so it's cool.

It was a fantastic day with a fantastic person. Hopefully tomorrow it will involve more fruit. :-/

UGH! It is only 4:00!!! Ugh. I guess I will study my flashcards for my real job.

PS Did you know Morgan and I got married one day apart? :-) Pretty cool huh?
