So, just a few weeks ago I posted a blog about how I got some AWESOME deals on restaurant.com using ebates.com. I got over $200 in restaurant gift cards for less than $20. If you missed that blog feel free to check it out here.

I decided since I was going to be trying so many new places I would share what I thought about them on my blog by doing little reviews. Please note I am NOT a food critic. Just doing this out of my own entertainment. :-)

---

I wish I had posted this closer to when we went (three weeks ago), but our first restaurant.com gift card that we used was at Fonduely Yours. I have grown up in Atlanta where the ultimate date night was to Dante's or to The Melting Pot. My husband was new to fondue. We both loved the atmosphere and had an awesome time with great food.

My husband and I have a tendency to just get the "dinner for two" where ever we go. Neither of us are super picky eaters and typically what one of us doesn't like, the other loves. It works really well and usually we can save a few dollars here and there.

The meal starts off with their cheese appetizer. This was when they were warming the oil before adding the cheese.

We loved the cheese. Now we were waiting for our server to bring our main dish. :-)

When the main dish came in we devoured it. It was all so good! Their spicy batter tasted so good on EVERYTHING!

We also got the white chocolate fondue for dessert, but I was afraid it would all be eaten by my husband if I stopped to take a picture. It was so good.

The atmosphere of the whole restaurant was fairly casual. I did not feel out of place wearing jeans, but I also wouldn't have felt out of place if I had worn a skirt or a dress.

My only complaint was our server. He really could have taken more time to explain things to us. My husband even clearly stated that he had never had fondue before. A little more explanation would have been helpful. I was really thankful that the table next to us had a different server and she did a MUCH better job explaining everything even though her table seemed to be regulars.

I feel like I have been completely MIA these past few weeks. However, I am really happy with my life at the moment.

I don't feel like blogging about my life though. I actually found an article on my friend's FB wall and I kinda want to blog about that. It is titled "30 Things Every Woman Should Quit Doing By 30". I still have a ways to go, before I turn 30, but several of these things are things that bother me about some of the military wives on this base. Some of them are the reasons why I have distanced myself from the environment (I still don't know if it was intentional or not.) I have met a few ladies like Morgan, Nicole, Ashley, Anna, Kim, Bethany, Alysa, Jessica, Katy, Courtney...I can't list them all so I am going to stop here (If you are reading this and your name isn't on here don't freak out on me lol)... that I love and am so thankful that I have in my life, but it really is just a small handful of people that don't drive me nuts. For example if I read one more post about getting mary kay products I am going to scream.

....But anyways....

Here is the link incase you want to check it out for yourself.

And here are my comments about things every woman should quit doing when they get married. Before let me share a disclaimer that I am not singling out anyone specifically. I am not trying to create drama. Just wanna share my thoughts. Feel free to disagree idgaf.

1. Buying clothes from the junior section.
When you get married I feel like you need to accept that you are an adult and stop dressing like you are a trashy HS chick. I understand that acceptance can vary from situation to situation and there is NO need to just completely change your wardrobe overnight, but when getting new clothes remember that you also represent your husband.

2. Forgetting her parents’ birthdays.
Eh, buy a planner. It's pretty easy. I don't think this is related to being married or turning 30, I think that is just something everyone should remember.

3. Making out with her BFFs at bars for attention.
No shit. You know that is cheating.

4. Making out with her boyfriend husband at bars for attention.
I don't really get this one lol.

5. Filling her bed with stuffed animals (really, even one is too many).
What is wrong with your sex life? Get yourself a bookshelf for those things with too much sentimental value to throw out. Other than that, your hubby is your teddy bear. Unless he is deployed, then I completely understand. :-P

7. Rebelling against her parents for the sake of rebelling against her parents.
Yeah... come on now.

8. Declaring an entire gender “all jerks.”
I just want to point out that I am glad this really isn't an issue, clearly we love the cock. LOL

10. Skipping regular gyno exams.
You are doing the deed (I hope for your marriage's sake) take care of your junk. :-)

14. Thinking she’s got it all figured out.
No one does. You can always learn from others.

15. Living paycheck to paycheck.
Shit happens. You need to have SOMETHING saved up. Yeah our hubbys don't get paid enough for what they do, blah blah blah. There was a huge freakout when we risked having a government shutdown, I think this was a huge wake up call for many people.

16. Aimlessly jumping from job to job.
This doesn't apply really for the rant I am going on. But I want to take the opportunity to point out that I am so sick of people saying "oh I need a job" "oh I have been looking, but no where is hiring" blah blah blah. I have TWO jobs. The first one took me 3 weeks to get. I applied to 25 places and got calls from less than half. I had it a little easier for my second job, because the connections were already in place. I interviewed for jobs I did not get, but I didn't give up. I can't imagine not having a job. I would go crazy. First off, I like buying my own things with my own money and not surviving off my husband's paycheck. Secondly, what on earth do yall do all day?? I would like to exclude those ladies going to school, who have children, or are pregnant. If I fit in to one of those categories I prob wouldn't have PT job either. Those who say they can't find anything need to look harder... or look at all. This isn't a movie where the scene where the main character is looking for a job only lasts two minutes. And back to my mary kay note, your at home sales company is a great hobby. The parties are fun to go to and a great way to meet new people. However, I really don't feel like that counts as a job. Someone please prove me wrong on that.

22. Expecting a man to do all the wooing.
Don't really have an issue with this in particular, but I think it fits this list very well.

Okay that is all the ones from that list that really fit my blog. I am just in a ranting mood, so I want to point out one more thing...

STOP GETTING DOGS IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO COMMIT TO THE RESPONSIBILITY!!
I am so unbelievably pissed at the number of wives who get these animals and then turn around and give them away when they start acting like dogs. Or when they realize they don't have the time for them, blah blah blah. Most every reason could have been evaluated BEFORE getting a dog. Now this innocent creature has to deal with the stress of moving or being abandoned. The worst story I heard was about a couple who just let their dog run away, because they wanted to get rid of it anyways. Ugh. Another thing, puppies are babies. They don't come preprogramed to sit, go potty outside, walk calmly on a leash, exc. You WILL have to work WITH your dog! Your dog won't get things right away, it will make mistakes without having ANY clue they made a mistake. Don't punish the dog for being a dog.

I am done. Time for bed. :-)

Car Problems

I might need to start a new photo challenge to force myself to blog again. I miss it. I have just been so crazy busy these past few weeks. I really haven't had much time to myself.

The only reason I am not out running errands, working, or doing something else of that nature is, because I am at the auto repair shop getting my car worked on. This is something that I have needed to do for about two months now. Oops! It all started when I noticed my headlight was out. I made the hubby fix that since I don't even know where to replace a headlight! In the process of attempting to replace my headlight, Rusty discovered that my hood was broken! He couldn't get that latch thing to work. It took awhile, but I did get around to going to get that fixed.... well sorta. One day I took it to the walmart auto shop and they told me that I needed to take it to a legit shop that would have some special tool. Soooo... I had to do some research about where to go. That took way more time that it should have. During this time I also became overdue for an oil change. Ugh. Yeah so now I have three things messed up in my little honda. :-(

Well here I am at the shop and this very nice man Charles just informed me that they have been tinkering with my car for a few hours and cannot get anything accomplished. Oh fuck. He mentioned things about maybe having to take apart my bumper, this that and the other. Idk what is going to happen. they are only open Monday through Friday. I don't know when I can get with my husband, get an ENTIRE day off from both jobs to be carless. I am going to need a friend to help me out. :-/ I don't know who since most of my closer friends here share a car with their husbands. Maybe I can get my Monday or Tuesday shift covered at Gloria Jeans and do it then... ugh. This is fusturating.

I don't even feel like blogging anymore. I am so upset about what to do.

I'm a Proud Mama

So, I am pretty much obsessed with my dog. I love him to pieces. Yesterday many of you may have gotten a "proud mama" text from me when Jasper graduated his "beginner" obedience class. :-) He just did SO well in class. The other dogs didn't even come close to his mad skills lol. Jasper can now sit, go down, walk on a loose leash without pulling, come, stay(not for very long, this class only focused on up to 15second stays), take it, drop it, leave it, shake, spin, and he almost knows roll over. The biggest benefit I have seen though is how well he is interacting with other dogs. :-) I am so proud of my little boy.

Koodos to Lisa at the Petsmart in Summerville for doing such a good job working with both of us. I've gotta admit I wasn't crazy about her after the first class, maybe she wasn't having a good day and so her personality wasn't coming out. I would totally recommend her though! I would do her intermediate class, but she only does daytime classes. I can't decide if I will do a Thursday evening class in Summerville or either a Monday or Tuesday one in Mt. Pleasant.

Here are some picture from his graduation and the ride home. He loves to sit in between me and the drivers side door so he can be touching me, get the AC, and see out the window. :-)

My favorite.

He kept trying to eat his graduation cap lol

His diploma is on our refrigerator.

I love being a total dork about my dog. People laugh about how much I do for him, I even take him to daycare when I have long days at work, but he will be in my life for the next 10 years or so. I want to make it a good experience for both of us.

My only real complaint about him is that bark. Ugh. Oh man if another dog is around he loses his shit. He has a little growl in his bark so sometimes people think he is aggressive. It is really embarrassing when we are places like Petsmart. At the dog park he never stops barking, but there it is okay it is a DOG park lol. I did have one lady ask me to go to the other side of the park, because the bitch was trying to read a book and my dog was annoying. Come on, why are you in a DOG park if DOGS being DOGS annoy you. Ugh whatever.
Soooo I couldn't go back to sleep after Rusty left this morning. I have spent the last two and a half hours looking for good deals online. I just found what might be the jackpot of my morning! I am saving 80% off of already discounted gift certificates! PLUS I will get another 15% cash back from that as well. Basically I am spending $20 ($17 after my ebate) for $235 worth of restaurant gift cards.

Here is how it is going down.

First you have to sign up (free) for ebates.com This is a really cool site I found in the last week. For those of you who do ANY online shopping it is a pretty cool site. Just go through ebates before making your purchases and you will get a percentage of your purchase given back to you in cash! (well it is technically a check or paypal, whatever)

PLUS you also get $5 just for signing up and making your first purchase through their site. So really everything is just $15. :-)

Once you go to ebates.com search for "restaurant.com" Using ebates for your restaurant.com purchases is how you save the 15%

Once the search brings you to this page you can start shopping. Enter in your zip code and check out the restaurants. Make sure you read the fine print located under the "add to cart" button. Some exclude alcohol, certain days, exc. :-) These certificates are good for one year (some longer). Perfect for military families like myself who may not be here longer than one year. :-)

When you are ready to check out enter in the promo code "STEAK" and you will instantly get 80% off of your order!

Where will you be dining? I'll be at...

Brixx Wood Fired Pizza

Cajun Kountry Cafe

Charleston Beer Works

Chucktown Taveren

Founduely Yours

Market Street Saloon

Taste of Thai

Plus I got a $50 gift card for resturants.com that I can use at another time. (It was $5)

When Rusty comes home tonight I will get him to see if there are any he wants to add. :-)

Gotta give one of my favorite coupon site Southern Savers credit for posing this deal!

Please give me just a tiny bit of credit for posting this offer. When you sign up to ebates.com please use this link http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=VzX3JwC2FJCwm89R%2BN9ktw%3D%3D to give me referral credit. I promise to post more great deals in the future!
I feel guilty for not blogging since I finished the 31 day challenge. This past week has FLOWN by. I seriously am clueless as to how it went by so quickly. Hmm... I worked a good bit. Spent some quality time with my man. (I had a free Saturday for the first time in almost two months!) Cleaned the house some, my mom is coming this weekend and I am so excited!

Life has been going pretty well. :-)

My biggest complaint is not being able to see Rusty nearly as much as I would like. Most of it is because of my job has me working mostly nights and weekends. I love that I can pretty much count on having Friday off to go out with Rusty and his friends at the end of the week, but I would really like to have more time to relax with him on the weekends. I still love my job though. Being a Barista is so much fun! It is even better, because I work with some pretty awesome people. I look forward to going in to work, because I always know I will be working with someone great. After being a part of the Georgia Hall staff last year, having great co-workers is ESSENTIAL to any job I have in the future. While I hate the hours, I still enjoy my job because of the great people I work with every day.

I almost went back to school for a pharm tech certification degree thing. It is a 6month program that a lot of my friends are doing, best part is it would be 100% free. However, after exploring the program a little more, I decided it truly wasn't for me. I think the man embellished how nice the job market is. Plus, medical isn't something I want to do forever (or even more than like 2 years lol). I just feel like it will be a waste of time. I am just going to wait until we are at our next duty station and finish school then. :-) I know it will make me happier in the long run.

Jasper is doing fantastic! He is such a sweet little dog. He had his third day :-) We were even able to take him to the dog park last weekend and I wasn't humiliated. :-P I really am so much happier with him in my life. Every day he does something to make me laugh.

Today I went to a couponing class and HOLY CRAP! That stuff gets confusing. I am going to try to up my game a bit. I don't know how extreme I can get with it, but I think I know a little more to get me going. :-)

I am bored with blogging for the evening since Rusty just got home. :-) Sorry there are no pictures!
The final day.
Day 31 - A picture of yourself.

Look! I did it!! Okay. I cheated some days I knew I would be busy. Just wrote them a night or two in advance and just clicked publish on the correct day. Regardless. I made it to day 31. :-) I am not sure why they repeated this one.... sooooo..... here I guess???
